How to install your CS Spray
If you are still having issues creating the .wad file after you have followed all of the instructions please Email Me the spray image you want and I will convert it for you.

Directions for Counter-Strike 1.6 Steam
  • Save the spray you want to your hard drive or desktop.
  • Download and install the decal converter
  • Open your decal converter program
  • Go to File
  • Open picture
  • Browse to the spray you saved
  • Adjust the size of the spray to the size it was on the site.(if you don't make it the same size it will look like shit.)
  • Then go to the Decal
  • Make decal
  • Select Add
  • Browse to your Desktop
  • Select Ok
  • And Ok again
  • A message will appear that you are about to over ride any existing files blah blah just hit ok again
  • After the file has been made you must chance the name of it to tempdecal.wad
  • Place the file is this location C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\"your-email-for-steam"\counter-strike\cstrike
  • Then you must delete your custom.hpk file for it to work.
  • THE END!!!!!!!!!!
Directions for Condition Zero 1.6 Steam
  • Save the spray you want to your hard drive or desktop.

Directions for Counter-Strike Source Steam
  • Download/Save picture: you can use any image as a spray as long as it follows this simple rules:
  • 256x256 pixels(not an exact requirement, but a mere suggestion for best image quality)
  • JPEG, .tga,.bmp or .vtf
  • Place the picture file in your cstrike folder located at:
  • C:\ProgramFiles\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\yourname\counter-strike source\cstrike
  • Start CS:S
  • Click on options
  • Click on Import Spray
  • Then on the cstrike folder
  • You will see the name of your spray file
  • Select it
  • Click open
  • Then click OK
  • Connect to your favorite server
  • Press T (default key) for spray and notice the picture.
If you get an error message then please follow these instructions.
  • Instead of saving your pldecal.wad to your cs folder in steam save it to your desk top.
  • Rename the file to tempdecal.wad when its on your desktop
  • Then open the directory that is listed above and move the tempdecal.wad file into the folder.
  • Continue with the deletion of the files listed above and you should be fine.
If you get this message
Then Follow these instructions
How to use HLtagconverter
1. download hltag converter
2. open the program
3. hit open image button at top right corner
4. select your image and
hit open
5. if your picture is larger than the size that valve allows then hit adjust image button
6. you can auto size your picture (recomended) or select your own size. by using the drop down boxes provided
7. hit apply changes and convert to 256 colors at the bottom of the window
8. save tag
9. select export wad file and
hit ok
HERE IS THE TRICKY PART
10. save this file in your cstrike/czero folder follow this path to get to it
C:/Programfiles/steam/steamapps/youremail/counter-strike/cstrike
(for CZ just replace with condition-zero/czero)
11. name your file tempdecal
12. hit save
13. go to your cstrike/czero folder
14. find the tempdecal.wad file
15. right click on it
16. go to properties
17. select readonly
18. hit ok
You may or may not have to delete the custom.hpk file. I do not ever have to delete this file but sometimes you have to. if this file reappears in your folder it is ok.
Your spray may take a few rounds or even a map chenge before it will load into your game so please give it time before you have a fit about it not working.
